Usage preferences
Help improve the booth with anonymous observations of button clicks, feature choices, captures, Story exports, cancellations and failures. These analytics records contain no photos, videos, captions, names, account IDs, IP addresses or browser strings.
Turning this off stops future collection and clears unsent events. It does not change your captures or optional Library sync, and it cannot recall a request already sent. Your choice is saved in this browser; if preference storage is blocked, it lasts only until this page is reloaded.
A random visit ID exists only until page reload and is not linked to your account. Reports cover the last 30 days. Older visits are removed in batches when new usage arrives; deletion may take longer when traffic is low. Hosting and security logs are separate from these usage records.
Signup acquisition
When you sign up, we save recorded campaign tags (UTM source, medium, campaign, content and term), referring site and landing page with your account to understand where registrations come from. Arrival cookies can retain the first observation for up to 180 days and the latest for up to 90 days. This account attribution is separate from the anonymous product-usage preference above. It contains no photos or Story videos. Missing campaign tags are left unknown.
Who we are

What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the product:
- Account info — the email address and name you provide when you sign up.
- Photobooth sessions— the photos and strips you capture. If you use the app without an account, your sessions stay in your browser. If you sign in and enable cloud sync, your sessions are stored on our servers so you can access them across devices.
- Technical data — minimal logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) needed for security and debugging. Authorized staff can review account details, signup attribution, synced-session metadata, stored subscription statuses, and account request history to support your account and investigate problems.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your photos to train models. We do not share your content with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers strictly required to deliver the service (hosting, storage, email delivery).
Where your data is stored
Photos and strips synced to your account are stored on AWS S3 and Google Cloud Storage. Account data is stored in a managed MongoDB cluster. Transactional emails are sent via AWS SES.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time.
Deleting your account and your data
You can delete your account at any time directly from the app. Go to Settings → Account and use the delete option. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your synced photobooth sessions, and all associated media from our storage. This action is irreversible.
If you would rather we handle the deletion for you, or if you have any issue using the in-app option, email us at contact@photobooth.plus and we will process your request within 30 days.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (language, theme). We do not use advertising cookies.
